Blue Truck Wellness has its roots in my journey to pursue a lifestyle that would foster better

physical health and well-being. Well, that and an antique truck.

 

As a professional woman working in Washington, D.C. (read: stressed out and busy), who was also attempting to manage a decades long chronic disease, I found that I was sick more often than not, and almost always

exhausted. In April of 2020, I was fighting off my second bout of shingles following a four-month long illness and I had finally had enough. Conquering this had left me depleted and desperate for a way to shore up my immune system and bring greater balance to my life. When I finally turned the corner, I threw myself into the practice of hot yoga, which I had dabbled in on and off for a few years. It was here that I found not only a respite but a passion.

 

Taking things a step further, that summer I began my teacher training to become a certified

yoga instructor and I also became the owner of my paternal grandfather’s 1970 blue Chevy pickup. I know very little about trucks other than I didn’t want to see it sold so I stepped in and offered it a new home. The pickup had been in my family since before I was born and is a reminder of the beautiful and serene summers I spent at my grandparents’ cabin in Minnesota.

 

As I dove further into my yoga practice, I was disappointed to locate very few yoga mat spray

options on the market. It’s hot yoga, your sweaty - the last thing you need is a biohazard on

your mat. I didn’t want some mass-produced spray - I wanted something mindfully produced

that complimented my practice. Hence, Blue Truck Wellness was born.

 

Aside from the benefits yoga brings to my overall health, I find another reason I am drawn to it is that it brings a much-needed calm to the chaos of my everyday life. Between the breakneck speed of Washington, DC, managing my inner spirit animal - which some have likened to the energizer bunny and raising twins – this girl needs her zen!

 

I am thrilled to channel my newfound passion into products that I hope will bring you the

calmness you seek by offering intoxicating scents. Whether it is on the yoga mat or off, our yoga mat sprays and scented rollers offer enticing scents that are intended to invite calmness into your hectic life and offer you an escape from the everyday. They are developed from organic ingredients and love is poured into each one.
